Taíno will be represented at Latine Heritage Month Program at Medgar Evers College in NY

Brooklyn, NY (UCTP Taino News) - The United Confederation of Taino People is represent on this year's Medgar Evers Latine Heritage Month Committee. The day long program will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11am to 7pm at the college. Special guests participating at the program included media pioneer Geraldo Rivera; City Council member Alexa Aviles; TV Producer Velia La Garda; and Kasike Múkaro Agueibana Borrero of the Guainía Taíno Tribe. Cultural presentations will include the Kasibahagua Taíno Cultural Society. Kasike Borrero will also give a presentation on the publication, Gu'ahia Taíno,We Speak Taíno: A Classic Taíno Dictionary and Grammar Guide. The program is free and open to the general public.
