TAÍNO EMBASSY AND COMMUNITY CENTER // LA EMBAJADA Y CENTRO COMUNITARIO TAÍNO

The Taíno Embassy and Community Center seeks to be a centralized location for restorative and environmental justice advocacy and for inter-generational exchanges toward Taíno cultural, spiritual, economic, and social development in Borikén (Puerto Rico). This project also includes a food sovereignty project called the "Konuko Project." // La Embajada y Centro Comunitario Taíno se propone ser un lugar centralizado para la defensa de la justicia restaurativa y medioambiental y para los intercambios intergeneracionales hacia el desarrollo cultural, espiritual, económico y social Taíno en Borikén (Puerto Rico). Este proyecto también incluye un proyecto de soberanía alimentaria llamado «Proyecto Konuko».

El Proyecto Esencia amenaza especies protegidas, terrenos de valor ecológico e histórico, industrias locales, calidad de vida, el deporte del senderismo y ciclismo de montaña. // The Esencia Project threatens protected species, ecologically and historically valuable land, local industries, quality of life, and the sports of hiking and mountain biking.

In collaboration with Opia Taíno International and the Guainía Tribe of St. Thomas, the United Confederation of Taíno People is working to achieve recognition for Indigenous Peoples in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

April 29, 2017

The People's Climate March was a protest which took place in Washington D.C., and among 300 locations throughout the United States, and locations outside the U.S. The United Confederation of Taino People was a co-sponsor of the March.
